I'm so sorry you're going through this. Weren't you thinking of hiring a Ukrainian couple to look after your mom? I hope that works out. I would recommend Roz Chast's graphic novel "Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant?" about being an only child taking care of her aging parents, but it might be too much more of the same.
